WNBA Makes Announcement Following Dream's Historic Win

The Atlanta Dream took down the Minnesota Lynx on Thursday, 75-73 . It was an intense matchup, as both teams wanted to win badly. Allisha Gray carried the team with her 27-point performance. She added four rebounds, two assists and three steals in the stat sheet.

The Dream relied heavily on their star player, who shot 47.6% from the field and 37.5% from beyond the arc. She did most of the work and it paid off as they secured another win. Her co-star, Rhyne Howard, added 16 points in the night. The forward struggled to make shots and made only 18.2% from deep on 11 attempts.

Following their win, the WNBA recognized the history the team achieved.

The Dream's win was historic since it tied the most wins they've had in franchise history in a single season. They secured their 23rd win of the year, which they first achieved in 2018. The league recognized the efforts they put in throughout the year and honored them on X.

The season isn't over and the Dream are likely to add more wins to their record. Their next game will be against the defending champions, the New York Liberty. It will be the second game of their four-game homestand.
