With the 2025 preseason out of the way, the WNBA makes its official return on Friday night, tipping off the regular season.
But Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese will have to wait until Saturday afternoon to play their first game of their second seasons when the Indiana Fever host the Chicago Sky at Gainbridge Fieldhouse.
Ahead of opening night, the WNBA announced a season-long campaign and anthem film called "Viewer Discretion," which will highlight the league's top stars.
"As featured at the 2025 WNBA Draft, the WNBA built anticipation for the season by unveiling the season-long campaign and anthem film 'Viewer Discretion,' shining a light on the WNBA’s most electrifying, unique, can’t miss players in the game,” the WNBA wrote. "The films are available across multiple platforms including on broadcast, online, social, streaming services, and the WNBA app."
The next "Viewer Discretion" iteration will drop on Saturday as well. It will feature Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson, "introducing her unrelenting dominance on the court to fans worldwide."
Other players to be featured include Clark, Reese, Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier and New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu. But other players could be highlighted later in the season.
"The next iteration of 'Viewer Discretion' highlights five of the league’s most talented and acclaimed superstars (players mentioned above) with their own customary advisory warnings, crafted to highlight each player’s most unstoppable skills," the WNBA added.
"In addition to the five player vignettes, the league will launch several other player spots throughout the season – reacting to storylines in real time and planning content that echoes enthusiasm around AT&T All-Star Weekend and the playoffs."

WNBA Chief Marketing Officer Phil Cook spoke to BET.com about "Viewer Discretion," looking to capitalize on the league's newfound popularity.
"I think we felt the anticipation this year, unlike any year we've had before," Cook said. "Last year, we weren't fully aware of the momentum and response from the fans, media, and partners. Now that we've had a year of it, we're anticipating even more growth and more energy within the league."
The first spot of the new campaign will take place during Saturday's double-header on ABC, when the Aces take on the Liberty at 1:00 p.m. ET and the Fever battle the Sky at 3:00 p.m. ET.
