Caitlin Clark kept her foot on the gas on Tuesday night against the Connecticut Sun. After leading the Indiana Fever to a massive win over the New York Liberty on Saturday, Clark kept it going with another strong effort against the Sun on Tuesday.

The reigning WNBA Rookie of the Year registered a team-high 20 points on 6-of-12 from the field, one rebound, six assists, two steals and four triples in 29 minutes of action to lead Indiana to an 88-71 victory over Connecticut.

It was another noteworthy effort from Clark in her second game back following a three-week injury absence. So much so that the WNBA announced the 23-year-old as the Top Performer from the Fever-Sun game.

It was a testy affair against the Sun. Clark was involved in an incident in the third quarter that saw her get called for a technical foul for shoving Sun guard Jacy Sheldon. Clark was reacting after getting poked in the eye by Shelton.

The Fever got strong performances from Natasha Howard (16 points, 12 rebounds) and Kelsey Mitchell (17 points), among others, but there's no denying that it was Clark who stole the show once again.

Thanks to the heroics of the former Iowa superstar, Indiana has improved to 6-5 on the season and has also booked its spot in the championship game of the Commissioner's Cup on July 1.

Clark and Co. will get to face Napheesa Collier and the Minnesota Lynx in the championship game. The Lynx, who are the defending champions of the Commissioner's Cup, clinched the top spot in the West with a 76-62 victory over the Las Vegas Aces on Tuesday, which allowed them to set up a date against the Fever.
