The WNBA All-Star Weekend, which will be hosted by the Chicago Sky this season, is one of the most anticipated events of the league each year. It draws a lot of viewership as the league’s best players compete against each other in different events. The main showcase is the All-Star game, captained by the two highest vote-getters.
Last year’s edition achieved great success. Team Collier defeated Team Clark, and Napheesa Collier earned All-Star Game MVP honors. The New York Liberty’s Sabrina Ionescu claimed the three-point contest champion title, while her then-teammate, Natasha Cloud, won the skills challenge.
This year’s All-Star Weekend is once again expected to be a must-watch. Caitlin Clark is back to full strength and could captain her team again. She missed last year’s game while dealing with different injuries.
Fans will likely vote for other superstars like A’ja Wilson, Angel Reese and Breanna Stewart as starters. It will also be interesting to see who the competitors for the side events are.
The Sky and the WNBA made a big announcement on Tuesday. They created a joint Instagram post letting fans know that tickets for this year’s showcase will be on sale soon. The announcement also included the list of events for the highly anticipated weekend.
“Join us in Chicago for 2026 @ATT WNBA All-Star!” the post read. “… ️ Tickets go on sale Tuesday, May 19 at 12pm ET.”

The festivities will be a two-day event, with the three-point contest and shooting stars taking place on July 24 at Wintrust Arena. The All-Star Game will take place the following day at the United Center. The Bulls and Blackhawks’ home arena has a bigger capacity of 20,900, compared to Wintrust’s 10,380.
The City of Chicago and the team will host for the second time. They also hosted in 2022 when Team Wilson beat Team Stewart 134-112. Kelsey Plum was named All-Star Game MVP that year.
The 2025 All-Star Weekend was hosted by the Indiana Fever at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. It averaged 2.2 million viewers on ABC.
