WNBA fans will get more opportunities to catch preseason basketball this year.
On Monday, the league released its full 2025 preseason schedule. The WNBA revealed that 14 of the 15 matchups will be available to stream for free via the WNBA League Pass app. ESPN will broadcast the other game.
As a result, this is the first time the entire WNBA preseason slate is available to watch through broadcasts and (legal) streams.
"We've seen the demand for WNBA content grow exponentially and we are meeting that demand by working with our broadcast partners and our teams to make a significant investment by making all 15 preseason games available to WNBA fans," WNBA Chief Growth Officer Colie Edison said. "It will be the ultimate way for fans to follow their favorite players as all 13 teams prepare to tip off the regular season in mid-May. And the preseason schedule itself, with superstars returning to the arenas where they starred in college and in some cases, teams from around the world serving as opponents, brings an entirely new level of excitement to the WNBA preseason."
The WNBA preseason begins this Friday with Paige Bueckers making her Dallas Wings debut against A'ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces. Later that evening, former LSU teammates Angel Reese and Hailey Van Lith return to Pete Maravich Assembly Center to lead the Chicago Sky in action against Brazil's national team.
The next day, Caitlin Clark returns to Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The NCAA's all-time leading scorer makes her Iowa homecoming when the Indiana Fever play the Washington Mystics on NBA TV.
ESPN will then televise an exhibition between the Fever and Brazil on Sunday.
Another No. 1 pick will return to her college roots. On May 12, Sabrina Ionescu and fellow Oregon alum Nyara Sabally return to Matthew Knight Arena to face the Japan Basketball League's Toyota Antelopes. The reigning WNBA champions open their preseason against the Connecticut Sun on May 9.
The 2025 regular season begins on Saturday, May 17. ABC will televise a doubleheader featuring the Aces and Liberty and the Fever and Sky.
