Ken Blaze-USA TODAY Sports

The South Carolina Gamecocks are the 2024 NCAA National Champions. Beyond Women’s Sports now reveals their final WNBA mock draft as we look ahead to draft day on Monday, April 15 (7:30 pm on ESPN).

Beyond Women’s Sports remains the only site publishing a full, three-round mock draft. In contrast to version 2.0, several players have since announced that they are not entering this year’s draft. The most notable players are:

  • Paige Bueckers, UCONN
  • Georgia Amoore, Virginia Tech (transferring to Kentucky)
  • Ayoka Lee, Kansas State
  • Te-Hina Paopao, South Carolina
  • Liatu King, Pittsburgh

2024 WNBA Mock Draft

FIRST ROUND

1. Indiana Fever – Caitlin Clark, 6’0” PG, Iowa

Stats: 31.7 PPG, 7.3 Reb, 9.0 assists per game, 45.5 FG%, 37.8 3pt%

Guaranteed lock for the top overall pick. A generationally player who will alter the Fever franchise for years to come. Solid pick-and-roll pairing with Aliyah Boston and NaLyssa Smith inside.

2. Los Angeles Sparks – Cameron Brink, 6’4” PF, Stanford

Stats: 17.4 PPG, 11.9 Reb, 2.8 APG, 3.7 blocks per game, 51.1 PG%

Rebuilding the Sparks frontcourt begins with Stanford’s Brink. Solid footwork, a nice 15-foot jumper, and a legit defender inside.

3. Chicago Sky – Rickea Jackson, 6’2” SF/PF, Tennessee

Stats: 20.2 PPG, 8.2 Reb, 2.3 apg, 48.5 FG%

Jackson’s all-around game will be needed during the Sky’s rebuild. The Sky needs depth in all areas and Jackson is the best available with the third overall pick.

4. Los Angeles Sparks – Kamilla Cardoso, 6’7” C, South Carolina

Stats: 14.4 PPG, 9.7 Reb, 2.0 apg, 2.5 bpg, 59.4 FG%

Los Angeles adds more depth to their frontcourt with Cardoso. A potential duo of Brink and Cardoso upfront could be dangerous for many years for the Sparks.

5. Dallas Wings – Jacy Sheldon, 5’10” PG/SG, Ohio State

Stats:17.8 PPG, 3.2 Reb, 3.8 APG, 1.9 steals per game, 50.5 FG%

The Wings have their frontcourt locked up and take the best available guard with Ohio State’s Sheldon. A solid defensive guard fills a need in Dallas who also can play either position.

6. Washington Mystics – Nyadiew Puoch, 6’1” SF, Australia

Stats(2023 U19 World Cup): 14.7 PPG, 5.4 Reb, 1.6 apg, 1.1 bpg, 47.5 FG%

A likely draft-and-stash for the Mystics as Puoch will be playing in Australia’s NBL1 league this summer. Additionally, the Mystics are in a rebuild with Elena Delle Donne sitting out the season.

7. Minnesota Lynx – Aaliyah Edwards, 6’3” PF/C, UCONN

Stats: 17.6 PPG, 9.2 Reb, 2.1 apg, 1.7 spg, 59.3 FG%

The Lynx take the best remaining player available to boost their bench with UCONN’s Edwards. A force inside the paint while also running the floor and pulling up from 15 feet.

8. Chicago Sky – Angel Reese, 6’3” C, LSU

Stats: 18.6 PPG, 13.4 Reb, 2.3 apg, 1.9 spg, 47.1 FG%

Reese adds post depth for the Sky’s rebuild. The best rebounder in this draft and can clog the paint inside. Needs to develop a 15-foot jumper.

9. Dallas Wings – Leïla Lacan, 5’11” PG/SG, France

Stats(2023 U19 World Cup): 17.1 PPG, 3.7 Reb, 2.9 apg, 3.0 spg, 44.3 FG%

A likely draft-and-stash pick here for the Wings who already have a crowded roster. Lacan is a quick combo guard with solid passing skills and strong defensive abilities.

10. Connecticut Sun – Alissa Pili, 6’2” PF, Utah

Stats: 21.4 PPG, 6.6 Reb, 2.4 apg, 2.4 apg, 55.0 FG%

The Sun takes Utah’s Pili here to give them some needed depth in the frontcourt. Furthermore, Pili’s game also resembles Connecticut’s Alyssa Thomas in being an undersized post with strong passing skills.

11. New York Liberty – Isobel Borlase, 5’11” SG, Australia

Stats(2023 U19 World Cup): 14.9 PPG, 5.9 Reb, 4.0 apg, 2.3 spg, 39.1 3pt%

The Liberty take the Australian Borlase to add depth, an additional ball handler, and three-point shooting. Head coach Sandy Brondello is familiar with Borlase and should have an easier time transitioning to the WNBA.

12. Atlanta Dream – Dyashia Fair, 5’5” PG, SyracuseCharisma Osborne, 5’9” SG, UCLA

Stats: 22.3 PPG, 4.6 Reb, 3.6 apg, 2.4 spg, 37.7 3pt%

The Dream needs depth at the guard position mostly and Fair appears the best available. However, her shooting can be inconsistent and also turnover-prone. The Dream should have a more uptempo style this season.

SECOND ROUND

13. Chicago Sky – Charisma Osborne, 5’9” SG, UCLA

14. Seattle Storm – Taiyanna Jackson, 6’6” C, Kansas

15. Indiana Fever – Mackenzie Holmes, 6’3” PF, Indiana

17. New York Liberty – Jessika Carter, 6’5” C, Mississippi St.

18. Las Vegas Aces – Elizabeth Kitley, 6’4” C, Virginia Tech

19. Connecticut Sun – Celeste Taylor, 5’11” SG, Ohio State

20. Atlanta Dream – Erynn Barnum, 6’2” PF, Mississippi St

21. Washington Mystics – Jaz Shelley, 5’9” PG, Nebraska

22. Connecticut Sun – McKenzie Forbes, 6’0” SF, USC

23. New York Liberty –. Kaylynne Truong, 5’8” PG, Gonzaga

24. Las Vegas Aces – Carla Leite, 5’9” PG, France
