WNBA Reacts to Angel Reese's Career News

Chicago Sky star Angel Reese had another historic year in the WNBA. She averaged 14.7 points, a league-high 12.6 rebounds, 3.7 assists and 1.5 steals in the 2025 season.

Reese became the fastest player to reach 500 points and 500 rebounds, needing only 38 games to achieve the mark. She also now holds the top two single-season rebounding averages in WNBA history after also grabbing 13.1 boards per game in 2024.

Amid the WNBA offseason, Reese has also been making a mark beyond basketball. In October 2025, she became the first professional athlete to walk in the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

The Sky forward also made her movie debut with a cameo role in the Netflix hit film "A House of Dynamite."

On Wednesday, Reese added more to her show business résumé. The official social media account of the upcoming 2026 animated movie "GOAT" announced that the 23-year-old is one of the voice actors in the film.

Reese plays the role of a polar bear named Propp. Fellow WNBA star A'ja Wilson is also in the film as an alligator named Kouyate.

As fans expressed excitement for Reese, the WNBA also showed its support for the former LSU standout. In the comments section of the announcement, the league wrote, "Can't wait."

The "GOAT" movie has Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry as its producer. It is set to be released on Feb. 13, which coincides with the NBA All-Star weekend.

After the news of her role surfaced, Reese shared a powerful message on X, reflecting on her life and successful career.

"God really don’t play bout me in every way of my life like my whole life is written," Reese wrote.
