The Indiana Fever will soon face the Las Vegas Aces, looking to snap a two-game losing streak against the New York Liberty.

Before their matchup against the Aces on Thursday at 7 p.m. ET, the Fever revealed an update on Caitlin Clark, who's missed the past two games.

Clark has been working through a groin injury that kept her sidelined for the team's most recent matchup against the New York Liberty and also had her miss the WNBA All-Star game.

On Wednesday, Clark was ruled out of the game against the Aces, marking her third straight missed game for the Indiana Fever, per Scott Agness.

She's dealt with several setbacks this season, so the game against Las Vegas will also count as Clark's 13th missed game of the season, a large sum for a player who avoided injuries for much of her college career and start to her WNBA career.

Throughout her second season with the Indiana Fever, Caitlin Clark has posted 16.5 points, 5.0 rebounds and 8.8 assists per game.

She's missed plenty of time with the Fever, but has been mostly efficient when active. Clark leads the team in average assists and is No. 2 in scoring behind Kelsey Mitchell.

Clark will have a chance to return to the lineup on Saturday when the team faces Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky.

The Indiana Fever are heading into the matchup against the Las Vegas Aces sitting at No. 7 in the WNBA rankings with a 12-12 record. While they're in position to make the postseason, the return of Caitlin Clark is vital for the team's success moving forward.

The loss of Clark hasn't just been a detriment to the Fever. Clark has brought tremendous fanfare to the WNBA stage since arriving on the professional landscape.

Last season, Clark's rookie year with the Fever, the Indiana star helped bring 3.44 million viewers to the All-Star game. Clark led Team WNBA in the starting lineup, earning a victory over Team USA.

This past weekend, with Clark out of the lineup at the All-Star game, views dipped from 3.44 million viewers on ABC last year to 2.2 million viewers, per The Athletic.
