On Sunday, the Atlanta Dream had one of the best performances as they took on the Washington Mystics. The Dream had their third consecutive win, following an 89-56 victory, improving to 8-3 in the 2025 WNBA season. One of the players who led the team to win was two-time All-Star Rhyne Howard.
Howard had 14 points on 36.4% shooting from beyond the arc. The fourth-year guard out of Kentucky made history in the league by becoming the fastest player to each 300 career shots from the 3-point range.
This season, the 2022 Rookie of the Year is attempting 10.7 shots from deep and making 30.5%. Two games before their meeting against Washington, the Dream played against the Indiana Fever. During that game, Howard had five attempts but failed to make one shot.
Since then, she's managed to regain her confidence and become a reliable threat from downtown.
After their dominant win over the Mystics, the WNBA recognized Howard's historic night and had a message for the star guard.
"In a league of her own ," the WNBA posted. "With her 4 3PM vs. the Mystics, Rhyne Howard becomes the fastest player in WNBA history to reach 300 career threes! (114 games)"

Howard has always been a threat from deep. Since joining the WNBA in 2022, the 25-year-old athlete has always shot at least 30% from deep. However, the current season is the least efficient year from deep for the Dream star.
Still, Howard remains aggressive and willing to take the long-range shot no matter what. Fans will see the 2022 All-Rookie back in action on Tuesday, as the Dream will face the New York Liberty at the Barclays Center.
