The Indiana Fever currently stand at an even 8-8, leaving them third in the Eastern Conference yet just 3.5 games back of top-ranked New York Liberty (11-5).
After winning their first two Commissioner’s Cup games against the Washington Mystics and Chicago Sky, the Fever fell to the Atlanta Dream 77-58 on June 10.
However, they then reeled off back-to-back victories, including a pivotal 88-71 semifinal win over the Connecticut Sun, to secure a 4-1 Cup record and their first trip to the in-season title game.
In that June 17 contest at Gainbridge Fieldhouse, Fever star Caitlin Clark poured in 20 points, dished six assists and drilled four triples.
On Monday, one day before the Commissioner's Cup Championship game, the WNBA shared a clip from Indiana’s Cup‑clinching win, captioning it, "The @indianafever are one game away from making history . Tomorrow they face the Lynx for their first WNBA Commissioner’s Cup Championship presented by @coinbase! Catch Episode 1 of Commissioner’s Cup All‑Access before the big matchup."

Fresh off a commanding 102-63 win over Connecticut on Sunday, Minnesota clinched its Cup final berth with a 5-1 in‑season record.
As the defending Commissioner’s Cup champions, the Lynx are aiming to become the first repeat winners in the competition’s five‑year history.

The championship showdown is scheduled for 8:00 p.m. ET at the Target Center in Minneapolis.
