Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese have become two of the best players in the WNBA. Since being drafted in 2024, Clark has earned two All-Star nods with the Indiana Fever, averaging 18.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 8.5 assists in 53 total games. Reese, on the other hand, has also earned two All-Star selections during her two years with the Chicago Sky. And the forward has become a double-double machine, averaging 14.1 points and 12.9 rebounds.

While Clark and Reese have one of the WNBA's biggest rivalries, the two stars team up on Team USA over the offseason, competing in the 2026 FIBA World Cup qualifying tournament. And they helped the United States secure a perfect 5-0 record, along with 10 points, winning Group A over the likes of Spain and Italy.

Now, following the qualifying tournament, Clark and Reese are preparing for the 2026 WNBA season, which will mark their third year in the league. With the league reaching a new collective bargaining agreement, the season will start on time while increasing player salaries by nearly 400%.

In both the 2024 and 2025 seasons, numerous WNBA teams notably changed venues when Clark and the Fever or Reese and the Sky came to town. Teams typically moved games to the city’s NBA arena, which has a higher capacity than standard WNBA venues, due to the draw of the two stars. Even the Sky shift their games to the United Center, home of the Chicago Bulls, when Clark comes to town. And 2026 will be no different.

On Wednesday, the Atlanta Dream announced several venue changes for the upcoming season. They will move two games against Clark and the Fever, scheduled for June 20 and Aug. 16, from Gateway Center Arena to State Farm Arena, home of the Atlanta Hawks, which has nearly five times the capacity. The Dream will also move the Sept. 19 matchup against Reese and Chicago to State Farm Arena, along with games against the Las Vegas Aces and the Toronto Tempo.

"ATL, we are BACK!" the Dream wrote on X. "The Dream take over State Farm Arena. Pull up on us."

Clark and the Fever will open the 2026 WNBA season on May 9, facing the Dallas Wings, while Reese and the Sky will begin on the same day, hitting the road to face the Portland Fire.
