Ticket Prices Are 125% Higher When Caitlin Clark Comes To Town

Analyzing the price difference for away games helps determine which WNBA players have the most star power on the road. Last year, the Caitlin Clark effect was evident, as the Fever star drew significantly more attendance and higher ticket prices across the board, forcing opponents to move games to bigger arenas to capitalize on the added demand.

For the second straight year, Clark has had a serious impact on ticket prices around the WNBA but she’s not the only star drawing attention in the league. In 2025, when the Indiana Fever is the visiting team, the average ticket price sits at $106.32. That represents a 125.7% increase from a team’s ticket prices when other squads come to town, by far the biggest jump in the WNBA.

Only one other team comes close to the Fever and Caitlin Clark’s numbers. Rookie Paige Bueckers and the Dallas Wings have the second-highest impact this year, with tickets to see them on the road team costing nearly 70% more than the home team’s average.

Using this metric, it’s clear that Clark, Bueckers, and Angel Reese of the Chicago Sky are among the biggest stars in the WNBA. All three teams have a major impact on ticket prices on the road. Meanwhile, the Atlanta Dream, Minnesota Lynx, Connecticut Sun, and Washington Mystics have a negative impact with ticket prices dropping by at least 30% when they come to town.

When removing Clark and Bueckers from the equation, ticket prices drop by an average of -17.8% when all other teams travel on the road.

Away Team Average Ticket Price % Increase
Indiana Fever $106.32 125.7%
Dallas Wings $79.55 68.87%
Chicago Sky $56.32 19.56%

Golden State Valkyries $39.27 -16.63%
Phoenix Mercury $36.55 -22.42%
Seattle Storm $34 -27.82%
Washington Mystics $32.77 -30.43%
Connecticut Sun $32.5 -31.01%
Minnesota Lynx $28 -40.56%
Atlanta Dream $26.77 -43.16%

Average WNBA Ticket Prices For Home Games

Their appearance in last year’s WNBA Finals took some by surprise, but that won’t be the case in 2025. In anticipation of a big season for the Minnesota Lynx, the team has the highest average home ticket price in the league by a long shot. The average cost of admission to a Lynx game this upcoming season is sitting at $108.86, which is 130% more than the WNBA average and 53% higher than the next-highest team. The Mystics are next on the list with average home ticket price of $71.

On the other end of the spectrum, the Las Vegas Aces have the cheapest home games to attend. Of the 10 least expensive WNBA games to attend this season, five of them will be home games for the Aces, which will played at Michelob Ultra Arena across the freeway from Allegiant Stadium. Most Expensive WNBA Games In 2025

When looking at the most expensive single game tickets in the WNBA this season, it is easy to spot a trend. Of the ten most expensive games for 2025, nine of them feature either the Indiana Fever or Dallas Wings as the away team.

It all has to do with star power. Caitlin Clark is of course still one of the marquee attractions in the sport entering her second season, and ticket prices are the highest when her Fever visit opposing cities.

But she isn’t the only one. Rookie Paige Bueckers is considered must-see TV in her first season in the league and the Wings will be featured in some of the priciest games this year as a result. Three of the four most expensive single-game tickets this season are Wings’ away games, including the $259 price tag for the June 22nd matchup against the Mystics in Washington. That ranks as the most expensive game in the WNBA this coming year, nearly $90 higher than the next contest on the list.

Home Team Away Team Get-In Price
Washington Mystics Dallas Wings $259
Minnesota Lynx Indiana Fever $170
Atlanta Dream Dallas Wings $165
