Reese is working out with some top-notch veterans. She’s using this opportunity to develop her game. Fans were impressed with her smooth three-pointers and are excited to see more action.
The WNBA star appeared on her podcast “Unapologetically Angel,” where she talked about the exit of the former Chicago Sky head coach. The Chicago Sky parted ways with Teresa Weatherspoon back in September 2024.
It turns out that Reese had a strong relationship with Weatherspoon even though her stint was short-lived. Weatherspoon was the head coach for just one season, but she was a strong supporter of Reese and other players.
Skylar Diggins-Smith was a guest on Angel Reese’s show when she discussed Weatherspoon’s departure. When asked how she felt, Reese said she was heartbroken by the news and that Weatherspoon didn’t deserve to part ways.
“I was so heartbroken. She understood me. I’m big on relationships, and she knew what was best for me and the team,” Reese said.
After Weatherspoon left the Sky, Reese took to social media as she made her feelings known. She wrote that Weatherspoon was the only one that believed in her.
“She was the only person that believed in me. You were the best reason & season. You didn’t deserve this but I can’t thank you enough. I love you Tspoon,” Reese wrote.
It’s hard for players to split with their favorite coaches. However, Angel Reese has kept herself busy, and she has many more things to look forward to.
