Jade Cargill ended Tiffany Stratton's WWE Women's Championship run of 302 days on the November 1, 2025, episode of Saturday Night's Main Event. The Center of the Universe was unbeaten in her title defenses in 2025, but dropped the belt to Cargill. While the match between the two wasn't particularly great, it served the purpose of ensuring a major title change.
Cargill and Tiffany had been feuding with each other and even teamed up in some instances since the Queen of the Ring. It was time Cargill became a champion, given the high hopes WWE had for her. There are three major reasons behind Cargill dethroning the most dominant WWE Champion of 2025 to be crowned the new WWE Women's Champion.
On WWE SmackDown, a week before SNME, Cargill turned heel on Tiffany and claimed it was time before she snapped. It gave a new character development for Cargill, who did not seem natural as a face. On the other hand, Tiffany was a highly over face and needed a credible heel opponent.
Hence, their match at SNME was a classic traditional heel vs. face encounter. Cargil holding the title being a heel could open up room for many feuds against babyfaces like Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair, and potentially stars from Raw like Bayley, Lyra Valkyria, and many others.
While Tiffany was the longest champion in WWE in 2025, whose reign lasted for 302 days, one of the longest in the history of Women's title holders, it did not have any memorable feuds. Her opponents were Charlotte Flair, Nia Jax, Jade Cargill, Naomi, and a few others, which did not have an impact on the blue brand.
This set of wrestlers repeatedly had a feud with the former NXT star, and her reign was booked badly. Most of her matches were passable, and fans were disappointed with her title run, to say the least. Her time to drop the belt was truly up, as Cargill's rise to the top had been delayed.
The Center of the Universe suffered an injury before her Crown Jewel match against Stephanie Vaquer. On WWE SmackDown before the episode, the star wrestler defended her title in a triple-threat match against Nia Jax and Cargill, which had multiple botches. During the match, Stratton suffered an injury.
As it was evident during her matches, Tiffany protected her knee with clothes and did not seem physically at her best to wrestle. As she is set to undergo surgery, Tiffany's title reign had to end. Hence, Cargill was the outright favorite to win the match and did so. After she recovers from her injury, Tiffany might be back for a rematch.
