The first episode of "WWE SmackDown" since "Backlash 2025" will air live on Friday, and there are some things to look out for.

At the conclusion of "Backlash," John Cena successfully retained the Undisputed WWE Championship by pinning Randy Orton. Cena isn't scheduled to appear on the blue brand at this time. With reports surfacing on Cody Rhodes' inevitable return to TV in the near future, it leaves one to wonder if the wheels are in motion for a rematch between "The American Nightmare" and Cena.

While it's possible Cena's next opponent may not be revealed on Friday's edition of "WWE SmackDown," there are some big rivalries brewing on the road to "Saturday Night's Main Event" and "Money in the Bank."

"The Queen" Caught in a Storm?

WWE has been teasing a potential feud between Charlotte Flair and Jade Cargill. During last week's show, Cargill told Flair to get to the back of the line in the WWE Women's Championship picture. At the moment, Cargill has unfinished business with Naomi, but could Flair be waiting for the right time to strike?

More Issues Between Jacob Fatu and Solo Sikoa

Solo Sikoa recently brought in former NJPW star Jeff Cobb to help WWE United States Champion Jacob Fatu retain his gold at "Backlash." Fatu looked none too pleased with Cobb's appearance, as he's told Sikoa that he doesn't need his help. Things are expected to reach a boiling point between Fatu and Sikoa, but when?

Tiffany Stratton's Title Run Threatened?

Tiffany Stratton is the reigning WWE Women's Champion, who is coming off the biggest win of her career against Flair at "WrestleMania 41." Still, Stratton can't seem to move on from Nia Jax. The two have history, as they were former allies before Stratton successfully cashed in the "Money in the Bank" briefcase to take the title from Jax. Stratton will look to avoid another ambush from her rival.
