WWE is making its way back to the Land Down Under. They have been running shows there for years, but only recently have been producing some of the bigger events. Most recently, World Wrestling Entertainment had a successful tour highlighted by the Elimination Chamber Premium Live Event.

The next stop in Australia, for WWE, will be a tour starting this week, with the main event being Crown Jewel. With the advent of the Crown Jewel Championships, a classic last-time matchup, a women’s tag that should slap, and an Australian Street Fight, WWE has put its best foot forward.

The five announced matches have generated plenty of buzz in the wrestling world. WWE has given us plenty of reasons to want to tune in on Saturday. Below are some of the best reasons for you to be making sure WWE Crown Jewel Perth is on your television this weekend.

A John Cena Match For The Ages

After the debacle that was Brock Lesnar and John Cena, the Retirement Tour needs a big win, and this match will be the one to deliver it.

A.J. Styles and John Cena have produced gold every time they stepped in the ring. At Summerslam 2016, they wrestled in a five-star classic, and followed that up with a drama-filled WWE Championship contest at the following Royal Rumble. Outside of that, in the various multi-man matches they have been in, they have been the MVPs. When these two meet, the wrestling world is given a treat.

Making Styles a stop on the retirement tour is what the world has wanted, and at Crown Jewel, that’s precisely what we will be given. Both men are in the later stages of their careers, but they will work their butts off to put together a proper send-off for the A.J. Styles and John Cena saga.

Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes Reignite Their Fire

Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins have been linked since Cody Rhodes made his triumphant return to World Wrestling Entertainment. Seth Rollins was the first to feud with Cody Rhodes, and their trilogy of matches was the highlight of the year. Following that, they have developed a love/hate relationship with one another, and for Crown Jewel, we are back on the hate side of the coin.

The promo battles have been expectedly fantastic leading up to their Crown Jewel Championship showdown. Both are excellent at hyping up the crowd, and considering their history, it should be assumed that the world will see a phenomenal contest in Australia.

This match will also help to bring prestige to the Crown Jewel Championship. It’s only a year old, at this point, and a high-profile match like this will help to establish its importance.

WWE’s Women’s Champions Representing The Future

Stephanie Vaquer and Tiffy Stratton are at the top of their game. They have been at the forefront of a surge in female talent. It has been a joy to watch these two great athletes perform week in and week out, and they have been pushed to the moon as a result.

It is always great to see WWE push fresh matchups, and this is no exception. The build hasn’t been all that fantastic, with Vaquer and Stratton only getting a few segments to sell their Crown Jewel Championship showdown.

What will keep this match going will be the quality of wrestling. Both Stratton and Vaquer are two of the best wrestlers on the roster, churning out quality matches. There is no reason to assume that when put together, they will give us a great match filled with some amazing spots.

A Street Fight Fitting Of The Land Down Under

Roman Reigns and Bronson Reed have been putting together a tight program over the past few months. Naturally, Reigns is going to have issues with anyone associated with Paul Heyman. But Bronson Reed has made the feud more about himself, trying to put the Big Dog down. He has posed an incredible physical threat to Roman Reigns, perhaps the greatest that The Tribal Chief has ever faced.

As far as action goes, putting a Street Fight stipulation on this match is going to take it to another level. Neither man is exactly known for their catch-as-catch-can style, and a regular match could have the chance of dragging on. Throwing away the rule book will make this the exact type of attraction match that fans want. There will be gratuitous violence and a few run-ins to boot. This will be a great variant from the other matches of Crown Jewel.

A Tag Team Match That Could Steal The Show

The issues between the Kabuki Warriors, IYO SKY, and Rhea Ripley have provided for some great television. The interwoven story lines have been compelling, with the on-again, off-again alliance with SKY and Ripley and the deceit of the Kabuki Warrior being at the forefront. While Ripley and SKY have aligned for now, who knows how long it will last, especially with SKY’s former stablemates standing across from them.

WWE has pulled the heels beating each other down to fool the babyface ploy before. Who’s to say this mist spraying isn’t all a big ruse?

With the history and chemistry shared by Asuka, Sane, SKY, and Ripley, we are in for a treat of a tag team match. It will be fast-paced, have some great wrestling, and include some wonderful drama nearing the end of the match.

No one knows how the finish of this match will play out. The journey will be perfect, and the unknown destination makes it one of the more intriguing matches on the WWE Crown Jewel Perth card.
