WWE Raw Manager Adam Pearce is celebrating a big feat — today, November 5, 30 years ago, he started in the pro wrestling business. He marked the occasion with a social media post.

The wrestler turned WWE Raw GM took to X, where he wrote about being lucky that his career allowed him to experience cultures and places he wouldn’t have gotten to otherwise. He tweeted:
“30 years ago today my professional journey began. It has allowed me to visit places and experience cultures in our world I never would've otherwise, and to meet so many people. Some like-minded, some so different, ALL sharing a same passion. Grateful for every step, misstep, and re-step. Here's to the next 30.”
Before Pearce became a WWE official, as fans know, he was a pro wrestler first. Pearce wrestled for NWA and is a five-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion as well as a two-time NWA Heritage Champion and a one-time British Commonwealth Champion.
He also wrestled in Ring of Honor, where some of his opponents included AEW stars Adam Cole, Claudio Castagnoli, Adam Page, Roderick Strong, and WWE Superstars Sammy Zayn, Seth Rollins, and Kevin Owens. That’s just a small part of his long career.
The last time Pearce stepped in the ring was actually in a WWE ring. He teamed with former WWE star Braun Strowman to face then-WWE Raw Tag Team Champions and WWE Superstars Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin. The match was on the March 1, 2021, episode of WWE Raw. Before that match, in the same year in January, he wrestled on WWE SmackDown.
No, his last indie wrestling match was in December 2014 in a match against Ace Steel at an MPW event. That was the year that he retired from in-ring competition. Though, as noted above, he made an exception for two matches in 2021. Though recently, this past October, he did tease about returning to the ring to face WWE SmackDown Manager Nick Aldis. Aldis is also a former NWA World Champion. So if it ever did happen, it would make for a good match.
It was in 2015 when WWE signed Pearce as a trainer and producer. Five years later, in 2020, he became an on-screen authority figure, and in 2023, he was officially the Raw GM that everyone loves except the heels.
