The following are spoilers for the Saturday, January 18 AEW Collision Maximum Carnage episode taped Thursday night in Cincinnati.

**********

A few more empty seats than Dynamite on Wednesday, but mostly full. Cincinnati got another solid show.

Backstage pre-tape with Cope, Powerhouse Hobbs, FTR and The Outrunners —

  • Hobbs says he’s got a bad leg but he’s going to limp out there and kick a--.

Hangman Adam Page beat Christopher Daniels in a violent Texas Death Match —

  • Page dominated early with barbed wire and a powerbomb through chairs. Daniels bled quite a bit. His blood was all over the mat. Page hit a double stomp from the ring apron onto Daniels who was laying across a table on the outside. Daniels fought out of a Deadeye on the top rope to drive Page through barbed wire on a table in the ring. Daniels hit the angels wings but couldn’t capitalize with a pin. Daniels hit Best Moonsault Ever after putting a piece of the barbed wire table across Page. Page came back with a tombstone and a Deadeye on the chair. Daniels’ left arm went limp. Buckshot from behind and Daniels couldn’t beat the 10 count. Page virtually dominated the entire match. Page came back to the ring and hit Angel’s Wings on Daniels to add insult to injury.

Toni Storm promo —

  • Tony Schiavone introduced Toni Storm. She has the ‘Timeless’ hair color (but the Toni Time style). She’s challenging in the building where she saw her first match. She’s going to introduce herself to Mariah May next week in Jacksonville at Daily’s Place. Schiavone tried to explain that they have met but Toni interrupted and asked him to say “It’s Toni Time!”

The Hurt Syndicate promo —

  • The Hurt Syndicate say next week in Knoxville, they’ll challenge Private Party for the AEW Tag Team titles.

Undisputed Kingdom (Adam Cole, Kyle O’Reilly, Roderick Strong) defeated Shane Taylor Promotions (Carlie Bravo, Shawn Dean, Lee Moriarty) —

  • The Infantry and Moriarty looked good, controlling a lot of the early match and getting heat on O’Reilly. Kyle pinned Dean. Shane Taylor laid out Kingdom. Daddy Magic stands up. Instead, Danny Garcia comes from the back to help the babyfaces. All four send Shane Taylor out of the ring. All three stare at the TNT Championship.

Will Ospreay promo —

  • Backstage interview with Will Ospreay. He thinks he and Kenny Omega need to have a chat. He’s calling out Omega next week on Dynamite.

Lance Archer & Brian Cage defeated Top Flight (Darius & Dante Martin) —

  • Archer and Cage dominated except for a few moments of hope from Dante and Darius Martin. Double chokeslam and Cage pinned Dante. After the match, Action Andretti came out so Lio Rush could attack Top Flight from behind. Lio hit a big splash on Dante.

The Learning Tree promo —

  • Backstage, Lexy Nair interviewed Chris Jericho, Big Bill, and Bryan Keith. Jericho talked about his history with Jon Moxley and how Mox needs to trust him. Jericho made a cryptic remark about seeing Mox before tonight’s match.

The Acclaimed segment —

  • Boos for Max Caster in the ring. Called Anthony Bowens to the ring. Caster said they’re a great team and great friends, but the biggest issue is that Bowens won’t admit Caster is the best wrestler alive. Bowens said he’s been lying all these years. The truth is that Max Caster is a selfish, arrogant, cocky piece of s---. Billy Gunn entered It’s Daddy A--. “What is wrong with you two? Have you lost your mind?” asked Gunn. Caster said this is Billy’s fault, he never liked “Daddy A--” and Billy rode their coattails as Trios champs. Every team Gunn has been a part of as broken up. Caster said Bowens has to choose between Caster or “washed up Billy Gunn.” Bowens went to scissor Caster, but instead flipped him off. Caster said he’s breaking up the team. Bowens says, “Billy, one last time. Cincinnati, throw those scissors in the air!” Bowens and Gunn scissored and hugged.

AEW Continental Champion Kazuchika Okada defeated Tomohiro Ishii —

  • Okada defended the International Title against Tomohiro Ishii with a low blow and then a Rainmaker. Tony Schiavone explained their history in CHAOS, in tags and against each other. As good as expected. Ishii either sold his left ankle or he’s injured after an awkward landing. Okada tried to flip off the crowd. Ishii grabbed Okada’s finger and flipped Okada off. Rainmaker by Ishii. Yes. By Ishii. Sliding clothesline. Okada got frustrated and grabbed ring bell. Ref grabbed it. Low blow by Okada. Then a Rainmaker for the pin.

Dustin Rhodes defeated Adam Priest —

  • Dustin won with the Cross Rhodes followed by a twisting suplex.

Julia Hart defeated Harley Cameron —

  • Hart beat Harley Cameron by submission with Heartless. Cameron wore dark sunglasses covering up the ink she still had staining around her eyes. Harley sold the bright light hurting her eyes when she took off her glasses. Schiavone said Harley Cameron has had 25 (!) AEW matches. Julia dominated the first part of the match. Harley Cameron came back until Hart locked on the octopus in the middle of the ring. Eye rake to escape. Harley missed a splash in the corner. Julia locked in Heartless for the submission.

Samoa Joe return recap —

  • Samoa Joe takes on Nick Wayne this Wednesday on Dynamite in Knoxville.

Jericho attacks Hobbs —

  • Jericho apparently attacked Hobbs with a bat and left him questionable for the 12-man main event.

Cope, FTR, The Outrunners & Powerhouse Hobbs defeated The Death Riders & The Learning Tree —

  • Hobbs pinned Keith with a spine buster. Cope, FTR and Outrunners came to the ring. No Hobbs. Jericho, Keith and Bill came out on the ramp holding Hobbs’s knee brace. Death Riders came through the crowd. Mox had tape on his damaged ear. Knee brace is on the ring post.
Six-on-five. Dax vs Jericho start. Back and forth. Eventually, all 11 men get in the ring. Commercial break. At least it wasn’t a dive. Back from commercial, heat on the babyfaces. Cope tagged in and tried to grasp Mox, but Mox jumped to the floor. Shatter Machine on Big Bill.
Cope and Mox went at it on the ramp. Impaler on Mox. Cope went for a spear. PAC out of nowhere laid out Cope. Death Riders tried to kidnap Cope but Cash stopped them. Chaos ensued. Death Riders, Cope and FTR brawled to the back leaving Jericho, Big Bill and Bryan Keith vs The Outrunners. Powerhouse Hobbs music hits. Turbo tags Hobbs. Powerhouse Hobbs lays everyone out. Big Bill and Hobbs went at it. Crowd chanted “MEAT!” Hobbs powered out of a choke slam. Big Bill over the top rope. Jericho attacked Hobbs. Outrunners double teamed Jericho. Keith tried to hit Hobbs with the ROH Title.  Hobbs pins Keith after a clothesline and a spine buster. Hobbs and the Outrunners celebrate as Maximum Carnage goes off the air.
