Here Are Your Key Moments From AEW Dynamite For December 17, 2025

  • "Hangman" Adam Page enters the ring for a contract signing ahead of AEW Worlds End, followed by Swerve Strickland. AEW Champion Samoa Joe enters last. Joe tells Tony Schaivone that he wishes he'd just shut up. Joe tells them that he felt it necessary to bring his team to make sure everyone was safe against others doing anything stupid. Joe then signs the contract. Strickland says he came back to AEW to win the championship, and that if Page wins, he'll be coming after him instead. Strickland says there's a mutual respect for Page, but a shared hatred for Joe. Page reminds them both that he ended the tyranny of the Death Riders in July. Page says Joe failed against him previously until he found The Opps and then turned into what he fought against. Page says he'd hate to see Joe become something so awful in his final years. As all the signatures were provided, the lights went out in the stadium, and MJF returned, cashing in his guaranteed shot at the AEW Championship. MJF says he was festering over this situation, and he wants to hurt Page in the best way possible: by taking the title far away from him. Joe starts to speak and MJF tells him to shut his mouth, and tells him he's not afraid of him anymore. MJF says Joe made the fans question his abilities, but his luck has run out. Strickland tells MJF he should be afraid of him, but MJF tells him that while he became the best homegrown star, he failed in WWE, but came to AEW and found success, but he's still leaving Worlds End as the AEW Champion.

MJF Is Back And Wants The AEW Championship

It's been a quiet few months without MJF in AEW, but his triumphant return tonight was a welcomed one that injected an entirely new level of excitement into the title picture. The fatal four-way now has the power to dictate what direction AEW will take heading into 2026, and it seems MJF is being prepped for a big one.

Back from Hollywood, MJF has been sorely missed in the AEW landscape, and the thought of a swerve (no pun intended) for him to win the AEW Championship back would be a major one. He hasn't missed a beat with his promo work, and the gauntlet has been thrown for next week and for Worlds End.
