In an interview with Denise Salcedo on Monday night, AEW star Rey Fenix gave an update on his recovery from injury. Fenix has been out of action for three months, last wrestling when he dropped the AEW International Championship to Orange Cassidy on an episode of Dynamite in October. Before losing the title, Fenix posted on social media that he was dealing with an "old injury" that had been bothering him since he won the championship from Jon Moxley in September. Fenix said that, despite the pain from the injury, nothing was going to stop him from defending the International title. Dave Meltzer wrote that Fenix was dealing with a bad back, or a bad hip, or both. Fenix told Salcedo that he's working on his recovery. Fenix thinks this is the worst injury that he's ever had, but he hopes to return to the ring soon. Fenix said: We are working on the recovery. It's one of my, I think it's the worst injury.
