Adam Copeland is the new TNT Champion.

Copeland made Christian Cage say ‘I Quit’ in the main event of Wednesday’s Dynamite in Toronto. Towards the end of the match, the rest of the Patriarchy became involved but was neutralized by Matt Menard and Daniel Garcia. Once the dust cleared, Cage was cuffed in the corner as Copeland took out his prized weapon, a barbed wire 2x4 named Spike, and hit Cage low. After he attempted to hit Cage with Spike in the head, Cage said that he quit. The end of Dynamite saw Copeland celebrate with the TNT title.

This is Copeland’s second reign with the title. At Worlds End in December, Copeland initially won the title from Cage. However, after Killswitch laid out Copeland, Cage forced Killswitch to give him the TNT title match contract Killswitch had won earlier in the night. That allowed Cage to restart the match and pin Copeland to regain the title immediately.

In the weeks since Worlds End, Copeland had been attempting to win enough matches to earn another title match. After Cage and the Patriarchy attacked Copeland during a number one contender’s match against Daniel Garcia, Copeland returned and went after Cage, who ran to the back and drove off. After that altercation, Copeland challenged Cage to the I Quit match.
