The McMahon family has run the WWE business for decades in the industry. Vince McMahon , Shane McMahon , and Stephanie McMahon are all renowned faces in professional wrestling. However, recently, WWE veteran Vince Russo cited a strange relationship between these three.

Speaking on the TMPT Empire of Podcast, Vince Russo revealed that the former chairman of WWE had pretty contrasting behavior with Stephanie McMahon and Shane McMahon. He disclosed that no matter what Shane O’Mac would have done, it was never good enough for Vince McMahon. However, for the Billion Dollar Princess, things were pretty different.

I saw it first-hand. No matter what he [Shane McMahon] did, it was never good enough. It was never good enough. But, my God, Stephanie was the golden child. The relationship between Vince and those two was so dramatically different. Vince Russo via TMPT Empire

Russo went on to call Stephanie a “golden child” for Mr. McMahon. Also, he heaped praise on the former SmackDown Tag Team Champion by saying that he was a pretty hard-working lad at the time. He was positive and was up for doing innovative stuff in the company. However, it never impressed McMahon at all.

Moreover, the former WWE writer even went on to claim that the father and son don’t even have a speaking relationship as well. Besides, Russo even compared Shane with Dixie Carter. Furthermore, he was having a conversation about Backlash 1999, where he revealed some behind-the-scenes stories about the iconic event. McMahon played a crucial role at the event, which made it close to one legendary night in WWE history.

Vince Russo said that Vince McMahon lied to Shane McMahon about his exit

Vince Russo worked in WWE for an integral period of time. He was part of the core team of Vince McMahon’s WWE. However, in 1999, he unexpectedly left WWE. Recently, while speaking on the TMPT Empire of Podcast, Russo revealed that Vince actually lied to Shane McMahon about the reason for his exit from WWE.

The former WWE writer revealed that years later, when he asked Shane about his exit, He replied that he thought that Russo had made his way out because WCW paid him more than WWE. However, the former TNA personality replied that McMahon asked him to appoint a nanny for his children, which led to his initial exit from WWE.

I said, 'Bro, do you know why I left?' And he said, 'Yeah, my father told me WCW paid you more money.' And I said, 'Shane, that's bulls---.' I said, 'That had nothing to do with anything.' I said, 'I left because your father told me to hire a nanny to watch my kids. Vince Russo via TMPT Empire

The former WCW superstar disclosed that Shane’s reaction was surprising when he heard this fact. He also said that the former WWE chairman has the same behavior for his kids as well. Vince Russo was an integral part of WWE. However, he made his way out and made a name for himself in different promotions like TNA and WCW.
