WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels was recently interviewed on the Battleground podcast. Among the topics discussed were Trick Williams' rise in NXT and the rumors about Bron Breakker getting called up to the main roster. After his appearance in the Royal Rumble, Breakker indicated on social media that the main roster is his home now.

Shawn Michaels on Trick Williams wanting the ball in NXT:

"I can remember him coming up to me and saying, 'I don't know any way to tell you this. I want the ball, Give me my opportunity.’ Then to watch him do that and to get to be a part of it, and help guide and nurture along the way, it's just been a sheer joy for me, you know, to the both of them. What makes Trick obviously also so special, is that you see him where he started from as being, you know, Carmelo, who everyone could see had that talent, had that ability, had that gift, but then you watch Trick to step out of the shadow of Carmelo Hayes and begin to start something that's almost like a groundswell that we haven't seen before. It's when it happens from the very beginning. It's ever organic and you watch it just get bigger and bigger and even shades of it getting bigger and bigger when you see him run out on SmackDown and listen to the whole arena chanting, 'Whoop that Trick.' That's something even bigger than I think he imagined."

Michaels was asked if we should assume Bron Breakker is getting called up to the main roster after Bron said the main roster is his home now:

“He may feel like that's his home, but he's still got work here in NXT to do whether he likes it or not. (he laughs). I'll tell you this much. Strangely enough, that's our job, right? Our job is to lose talent, but he's one that I'm going to have trouble letting him go. So look, I can assure you that there is more left for Bron Breakker here in NXT one way or another. He's an incredibly talented, very gifted, young man. As far as I'm concerned, he's young, and as we say, full of piss and vinegar. So if he wants to double time it, he can certainly do it, but I'm not letting go that easy."
