Backstage news on the absence of AEW's Britt Baker

Britt Baker has been positioned as a top star for All Elite Wrestling for many years, as she is one of the original stars to have signed with the promotion when it launched in 2019.

Baker’s status

In addition to being a wrestler, she’s also a dentist. D.M.D stands for Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry. She was one of the reasons that Adam Cole left WWE for AEW, as they’re a real-life couple.

In 2023, Baker was not used on television in the top-star role, nor did she have a run as the AEW Women’s Champion, as her last two matches were September 13th and 16th, leading to speculation that she may be injured.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported, "The reason Britt Baker hasn’t been around apparently is an injury situation.”

On the Worlds End media call on Thursday, AEW President Tony Khan mentioned Baker alongside Pac, Kenny Omega, Adam Cole, and Jamie Hayter as key talent sidelined with injuries right now.
