John Cena appeared on "WWE Raw" for the first time since his shocking heel turn, and WWE officials have reacted.

Cena addressed his actions at the conclusion of "WWE Elimination Chamber 2025" when he hit Cody Rhodes over the head with the Undisputed WWE Championship. Rhodes was left in a pool of his own blood after Cena joined The Rock and music star Travis Scott. It's the first time in 22 years that fans have seen Cena play the role of a villain on WWE TV.

"The Doctor of Thuganomics" appeared inside Forest National in Brussels to explain why he turned his back on Rhodes. He claimed that the fans have used him as a puppet for years. He didn't appreciate being booed when he was WWE's top babyface for over a decade.

Fightful reports that the backstage reaction to Cena's heel segment on "Monday Night Raw" was overwhelmingly positive. Company officials had glowing praise for Cena's ability to draw heat from the crowd. There were chants of, "[expletive] you Cena" and "Cena's a [expletive]."

It was also mentioned in the report that one WWE source called the March 17 episode of "Monday Night Raw" the most raucous environment they've been a part of for a TV show. The report noted that the energy in Brussels may lead to a return for a future episode of "WWE Raw" or "Friday Night SmackDown."

Cena will be making his way to the OVO Hydro in Glasgow for another face-to-face encounter with Rhodes on the red brand on March 24. Thanks to his victory in the men's Elimination Chamber match, Cena has earned a shot at Rhodes' Undisputed WWE Championship at "WrestleMania 41" in Las Vegas.
