Becky Lynch's Hilarious Reaction To Naomi's Announcement on WWE RAW

Becky Lynch has given her take on Naomi's announcement on RAW after she was forced to relinquish the WWE Women's World Championship.

Becky Lynch Responds To Naomi's Pregnancy

Naomi received massive congratulations from fans, Stephanie McMahon and Adam Pearce, after confirming that she was seven weeks pregnant. She initially refused to hand the women's world title to RAW general manager Pearce before officially vacating the gold and claiming "the Bloodline continues".

The 37-year-old is now on maternity leave, and WWE will now have to crown a new champion during her absence. She isn't the first superstar who has been forced to step away from the squared circle because of pregnancy.

Becky Lynch poked fun at Naomi's announcement that she and Jimmy Uso are expecting a new 'baby Uso' with a sarcastic comment. The Women's Intercontinental Champion wrote on X:

"How irresponsible getting pregnant as a champion."

This was in jest as Lynch had previously relinquished the RAW women's world title in May 2020 after falling pregnant with her and Seth Rollins' baby daughter, Roux. She handed the gold over to Asuka, who had won the Money in the Bank briefcase the night before without realising it contained the title.

Naomi had held her title since WWE's Evolution PLE on July 13, ironically cashing in the Money in the Bank briefcase on Iyo Sky to become champion. This was her second reign as a world champion, and she vowed to reclaim her gold once she returns.

Rhea? Iyo? Bayley? - Who Do Fans Want To Become Champion?

Naomi's absence means a new champion will soon be crowned, although there has been no word on how WWE plans to do this. But it's stirred up plenty of debate among fans online about who deserves to take the crown, but must proceed with caution.

Popular TikToker Conman167 asked his followers who should be the next champion, and there are some interesting verdicts.

One fan is pushing for Stephanie Vaquer to similarly be handed the title like Asuka:

"She literally won a Battle Royal for the #1 contender spot at Evolution last month. If anything, she should be automatically rewarded the belt like when Becky gave Asuka her title after she won the Money In The Bank."

Another fan proposed the title changes hands on three occasions:

"Iyo at Clash, Ripley in Perth, Stephanie at Mania."

One fan went with one of the fastest-rising stars in the company and her stablemate:

"I'd like to see a battle royal with a few women and maybe put the title on Raquel or Roxanne just to shake things up a bit."

Another vouched for Bayley, who is undergoing a character transformation:

"My opinion Bayley. The spot is open and everybody is busy mid stories."

There is a possibility WWE look to use their reported September PLE 'Wrestlepalooza' as the destination to crown a new champion. There are just 12 days until Clash in Paris (August 31), which doesn't give RAW GM Pearce much time to decide on a title match for that event.
