Brock Lesnar Confirmed for WrestleMania 42

In his WrestleMania 39 match, the Beast Incarnate defeated Omos in less than five minutes. There is a theme with Lesnar. His matches are relatively short, and most of the time, he’s always looking like the dominant opponent. Wrestlepalooza marked his first match since 2023, where he surprisingly lost to Cody Rhodes at SummerSlam.

Lesnar was gone from WWE due to being named in Janel Grant’s lawsuit against former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon. The case is still pending, but WWE officials gave the okay for Lesnar to return at this year’s SummerSlam, where he attacked John Cena after Cena lost the Undisputed WWE Championship to Cody Rhodes.

Fans Upset Over Lesnar Vs. Cena Match At Wrestlepalooza

When bringing up Lesnar lately, one has to bring up his squashing Cena in their match last Saturday at Wrestlepalooza. It was like a repeat of their match in 2014 at SummerSlam. Cena was thrown around like a ragdoll, which isn’t a good look when this match is part of your farewell tour.

As recently reported, with Cena only having a few scheduled events left, it appears that there will be no rematch for Cena. The decision, which can be reversed, has fans feeling mixed about it. Honestly, Cena doesn’t need revenge at this point. He needs a good match and a good opponent. That’s not saying Lesnar isn’t good in the ring, just that he’s not what Cena needs at the end of his career.

From the sounds of it, Cena wants to face AJ Styles, which is a wonderful idea in this writer’s opinion. If Lesnar is going to be going to WrestleMania 42 at the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada, a good opponent for him would be a bruiser like Bronson Reed or his Vision tag team partner, Bron Breakker.

WrestleMania 42 is set for Saturday, April 18, 2026, and Sunday, April 19, 2026. For those who want tickets for next year’s event, be prepared to take out a small loan. Prices have soared. Hopefully, WWE does a better job at booking WrestleMania 42 than they did for their first PLE in the ESPN era.
