Brock Lesnar’s Reported WWE WrestleMania 42 Opponent Expects Their 'War' Will Elevate Him
WWE YouTube

Brock Lesnar made light work of John Cena on his return to a WWE ring at Wrestlepalooza, and some fans are intrigued as to what's next for him. The Beast has been advertised for WrestleMania 42, and his opponent has reportedly already been lined up for the Show of Shows in April next year.

Brock Lesnar's WrestleMania 42 Opponent Revealed?

Fans can expect to see Brock Lesnar at events leading up to WrestleMania, as WWE looks to utilise his star power to boost ratings and attendance figures. But, he'll be performing as a part-timer, just as he was during his previous run with the company, and his supposed realignment with Paul Heyman will aid this.

The 48-year-old's last Mania appearance came at WrestleMania 39 when he defeated Omos in the opener of night two. But he could be facing a star whom many tip to be his successor as the biggest freak athlete in the promotion.

BodySlam+ reports that discussions have been held over Lesnar facing Bron Breakker in the future. They have learned that some believe this could be the Beast's match at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada.

This will likely tie in to Lesnar's recent reconciliation with Heyman, who is currently managing Breakker as part of Seth Rollins' group, The Vision. One would imagine the two brawlers would go to war with the WWE Hall of Famer stuck in the middle of their rivalry.

Breakker has grown into one of the most formidable talents on WWE RAW, and many envision he will main event WrestleMania sooner rather than later. He's a former Intercontinental Champion who, like Lesnar, has a background in amateur wrestling and similarly took to the football field before taking up a pro wrestling career.

Bron Breakker: War With Brock Lesnar Could Elevate Me

Bron Breakker has always been mentioned as one of the new generation who could be propelled into superstardom with a victory over Brock Lesnar. That's why the Beast's 'squash' victory over John Cena makes sense, especially if he is then putting over talent like the former two-time NXT Champion.

The 27-year-old has spoken in the past about working with Lesnar and recalled meeting him. He told El Brunch with Quetzallli Bulnes back in December 2021: "I met him, I want to say like 2017, maybe or something like that. I went backstage to a Raw when I was in college. I met him there, but as a performer, I haven’t ran into him. Yeah, I’d love to work with Brock. He is an animal."

Breakker explained what a program with Lesnar could do for his career: "I think he would kind of like Roddy elevate me. You know, force me to elevate and bring my game up as well. I think Brock would do the same thing, and I think it would be a war."

While those comments were made four years ago, they still hold true because there's no denying Lesnar's superstar status, and he's one of the biggest names in all sports. His UFC history, alongside his WWE exploits, make him one of the most talked-about individuals in combat sports.

As for a war, we have seen how Breakker can turn into a wrecking machine on RAW, including when he sent Ricochet to a medical facility after a parking lot attack. Those are the kind of segments that Lesnar has previously been booked in, such as breaking The Undertaker's hand. With Heyman maybe caught in the crossfire, we can expect plenty of fireworks.
