John Cena will take on AJ Styles at WWE Crown Jewel Perth. This match came to life due to a social media post from the “Never Seen17” himself, essentially calling out to one of his fiercest and best rivals to run it back one last time before he hangs up the jorts. One moment led to another, and soon enough, Triple H announced that the two in-ring experts would lock horns next month in Australia during the premium live event.
John Cena and AJ Styles have a long history. The two came face to face shortly after Styles joined WWE in 2016 during the Royal Rumble match. It didn’t take long before the two decided to run it down 65 times over their career, which involved Dark, Live Tour Matches, and multi-man contests. The two have only shared the ring in singles matches a total of four times, with each performer earning two wins respectively.
John Cena didn’t openly express his desire to face any performer during the retirement tour. He constantly emphasized that he trusts WWE’s decision. It looks like this match was made using social media due to Cena’s no appearance planned on WWE TV until Crown Jewel Perth next month. John had an excellent story with AJ Styles every time the two decided to go against each other. With the knotted-up at one a piece, the next chapter happens at Crown Jewel Perth, as The Last Time is Now.

AJ Styles lost his WWE Title to John Cena during his singles match at Royal Rumble 2017. It was the last time they had a title in the mix, and this time around, nothing of that nature will be in the picture. John lost his two matches to Styles in 2016, but has never lost to him since then. The 27 February 2018 SmackDown match saw the Cenation Leader reign supreme, and it looks like Styles will suffer the same fate next month in Perth.
The reason behind this is that John recently lost to Brock Lesnar at WWE Wrestlepalooza, and fans didn’t like the outcome. While a rematch may be an idea, WWE would not want to make the same mistake twice. John has just five more appearances before he pulls the curtain on his two-decade-long career.
The company would not want to make the “Hustle, Loyalty, Respect” believer lose during his final appearance in Australia. Fans, especially kids, were seen teary-eyed when Brock defeated John at Wrestlepalooza, but will lightning strike twice? We’ll have to wait and see as we get another installment of the historic feud between AJ Styles and John Cena at WWE Crown Jewel, live in Perth, Australia.
