Well, it looks like WWE SmackDown Superstar Chelsea Green is here to stay for a while. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select was the first to report on October 28, 2025, that the former WWE Women’s United States Champion has signed a contract extension with WWE.

How Long Is Her Contract Extension?

Per the report, via WrestlingInc, Green’s extension is for five years. She’s currently in her second run with the company. After she was released on April 15, 2021, Green made her in-ring return to WWE on January 28, 2023, as an entrant in the women’s Royal Rumble match.

The report claims that WWE reached out to Green about a new deal as far back as January. She had originally signed a three-year contract with WWE in 2022, and it was set to expire at the end of this year. Now her WWE career will expire in 2030.

What Chelsea Green Is Up To Now

During this past Tuesday’s (October 28) episode of NXT, Green made her appearance alongside NXT North American Champion “All Ego” Ethan Page. They were backstage talking about their upcoming match at Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide’s Day of the Dead event on November 2. As noted, at the event, Green and Page will be facing the AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions La Hiedra and Mr. Iguana for their titles. The match will be Green’s first time in an AAA ring.

The last time that Green and Page tagged together was on August 24, 2025, for the NXT Heatwave PLE. The match ended with Green and Page defeating Tavion Heights and Tyra Mae Steele.

For a while now, Green has been doing double duty on both SmackDown and NXT. Her last SmackDown match was on October 3, where she and Alba Fyre lost to NXT Superstars Sol Ruca and Zaria. Before that, she and Fyre, on the September 19 episode, lost to WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Alexa Bliss and Charlotte Flair.

One of her career highlights was when she became the inaugural WWE Women’s United States Champion on December 14, 2024, after defeating Michin at Saturday Night’s Main Event. She held the title until the April 25, 2025, episode of SmackDown, when Zelina Vega defeated her. The current champion is Giulia. In the end, it’s safe to say that this time around, for Green, her WWE career is going much better.
