WWE Superstar CM Punk was recently interviewed by KSL News Utah to promote the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event this Saturday, November 1. During the interview, he brought up his current career and how he’s happy with it.
CM Punk feels he is doing the best work of his career at the moment:"I'm fortunate that I'm continuing to level up in this business. I just turned 47 the other day, and some people would say that's a detriment; I think it's one of the more positive things about me.I'm 'this… pic.twitter.com/u6XVtJfigG— WrestlePurists (@WrestlePurists) October 31, 2025
Punk has had a pretty busy 2025, so it's no wonder he's feeling that his career is at its best now, even after turning 47. He had his share of ups and downs, but this year alone, Punk has stayed consistently on top of the men's division. Most recently, he had been feuding with Seth Rollins and Rollins' then-stable The Vision. The feud even caused the return of Punk’s wife, AJ Lee, after ten years of not being in a WWE ring. He said:
"I'm fortunate that I'm continuing to level up in this business. I just turned 47 the other day and some people would say that's a detriment. I think it's one of the more positive things about me. I'm 'this old' and operating on this level, doing what to me is the best work of my career." (h/t WrestlePurists)
Punk was last in the ring at the WWE Supershow in Japan on October 18, when he tagged with Shinsuke Nakamura to defeat The Vision’s Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.
As noted, Seth Rollins, due to a shoulder injury, had to relinquish the WWE Heavyweight World Title. He’s expected to be out of action for at least six months. On the October 20, 2025, episode of WWE Raw, Jey Uso won the Battle Royal to see who was going to face Punk at Saturday Night’s Main Event for the vacated WWE World Heavyweight Title.
So, on Saturday, November 1, in Salt Lake City, Utah, at the Delta Center, the Punk will get his chance at the title. The same title that he won against Gunther at SummerSlam and lost in less than 10 minutes after winning it to Rollins, who cashed in his Money in the Bank suitcase. Ironically, Rollins had pretended that he was injured and had shocked not only the audience but also a newly crowned Punk. So it’s no wonder that he gets a shot at the title this upcoming Saturday.
Though he did actually earn it before Rollins announced his injury. The match, which was on October 13, 2025, was between Jey and LA Knight to see who was going to be the WWE World Heavyweight #1 Contender. So that’s how it all works out. As Punk is feeling his best, there’s a good chance he will become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.
