CM Punk Revealed As Cover Superstar Of WWE 2K26

After the first three reveals of the upcoming WWE 2K26 editions, 2K Games has officially revealed this year's Superstar who will grace the cover. In a press release this morning, 2K Games announced CM Punk as the cover star of WWE 2K26, his first cover since returning to the company in 2023, and his second appearance on the company’s flagship game.

Punk’s cover is the Standard Edition release of the game, which will release on March 13th on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch™ 2, and PC via Steam. With the announcement comes several new journeys, match types, and three other alternate covers, including Attitude Era and Monday Night Wars, slated to release on March 6th.

CM Punk’s Showcase Offers His Personal Journey

WWE 2K26 brings CM Punk to the forefront as its cover star, chronicling his storied career through WWE. In its showcase “Punked”, players will have the opportunity to work through some of the biggest moments of his career, including iconic matches and his rise through WWE.

In the press release, Punk says he’s excited to join a small group of WWE Superstars to have graced a WWE 2K cover twice.

“I enjoyed the experience of narrating the 2KShowcase, which gave me an opportunity to tell fans the straight, unfiltered story of the moments, matches, and controversies in my career. Players will get to step into my boots, relive some of my proudest WWE moments, and take on challenges I never had the opportunity to face.”

Three Other Covers And New Options

In addition to the Showcase, WWE 2K26 will feature brand-new match types in the game, including I Quit, Inferno, Three Stages of Hell, and Dumpster matches. The game also features the biggest roster in WWE 2K history, with over 400 Superstars from Raw, SmackDown, NXT, Legends, and Hall of Famers.

WWE 2K26 features the return of “The Island”, an immersive world inside the game that allows players to join one of three factions to battle for control. DLC also gets an upgrade with Ringside Passes, which allows players to earn XP across all game modes except the online lobbies.

Players who pre-order the WWE 2K26 Standard Edition will receive the Joe Hendry Pack, a bonus pack of content containing Joe Hendry, a Joe Hendry shirt cosmetic item, Joe Hendry MyFACTION EVO card, and Joe Hendry Spin Island Emote.
