Christine Lubrano, who spent more than four years working as WWE’s Senior Vice President of Creative Writing Operations, is no longer with the company.
PWInsider reported that Lubrano was fired by WWE on Thursday in a round of office cuts. Creative services and photography were among several departments affected, with PWInsider writing that it’s believed at least 10-12 staffers were let go in total.
Dave Meltzer confirmed the news of Lubrano’s departure in the new issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
“More cuts have taken place in the office. The biggest name would be Christine Lubrano, the Senior Vice President of Creative Writing Operations,” Meltzer wrote. “She and Bruce Prichard oversaw the writing team and reported directly to Paul Levesque. She had been [one] of the key creative people for four years.”
Before starting with WWE in 2021, Lubrano worked in television with roles at the IFC and Bravo networks. She was with IFC for 18 years and had the role of Senior Vice President of Original Programming & Development for the channel from 2014-2019.
