New details have emerged on the outcome of the "AEW Double or Nothing 2025" main event.

The stars of AEW performed inside Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale, and there were big implications for "All In: Texas." In the main event of "Double or Nothing," Will Ospreay took on "Hangman" Adam Page in the finals of the men's Owen Hart Foundation Cup. Ultimately, it was Page who scored the victory, and he will go on to challenge Jon Moxley for the AEW World Championship at Globe Life Field on July 12.

Fightful reports that Page actually pushed for Ospreay to win the match. Ospreay and Moxley reportedly felt that "Hangman" was the right choice. The report noted that whether or not Moxley's preference had any influence on the outcome of the match is unknown.

It was also mentioned that many within AEW were surprised that Page scored the win, as the strong belief was that Ospreay would be the one to face Moxley at "All In: Texas." It's been said that the backstage reaction to the match and "Double or Nothing 2025" as a whole was "overwhelmingly positive."

AEW has been running a storyline where Moxley and his Death Riders faction have executed a hostile takeover of the company. Moxley doesn't allow fans to see the AEW World Championship, as he keeps it locked in a briefcase, which he also uses as a weapon in a good portion of his matches.

The briefcase was even used during the Anarchy in the Arena match at "Double or Nothing."
