Eric Bischoff continues to bash AEW's Tony Khan

Erick Bischoff is becoming known for his disdain toward AEW owner Tony Khan. Every week, the WWE Hall of Famer goes on record with a new complaint about Khan and his company's on-air product. Bischoff's quarrels are usually based on a perceived lack of commitment to generating creative and captivating storylines.

In a recent edition of Bischoff's "Wise Choices" podcast, he once again questions Khan's motives for running AEW before questioning his ability to lead the company as the head of creative.

"What he really wants is to be recognized as the next Paul Heyman, or the next Vince McMahon," Bischoff said. "Maybe not today, but what Vince McMahon achieved...I think Tony’s — based on what I’ve read about him and heard from others who have worked closely with him — is brilliant when it comes to data analytics and analysis. But when it comes to creative, he doesn’t have a f------ clue. You could beat him about to head with a good idea and he wouldn’t know it. Therein lies your problem.”

There's no question that AEW has struggled with blending storytelling into its offering. However, it has been doing a much better job of that recently. The current storyline between Swerve Strickland and Christian Cage has been fantastic, even drawing on Swerve's feud with Darby Allin and Sting last year.

Bischoff is at risk of losing credibility with his consistent tirades against Khan. They are starting to come across as bitter. He is a former great, trying to chop down a budding company every week, and for the most part, his angle remains consistent. Eventually, Bischoff's stance will begin to look like a bad-faith argument.

After all, AEW is slowly growing. The company has begun to fix its attendance issues, create more viral moments for social media, and stick true to its values of putting in-ring production at the forefront of its offering. Unfortunately for Bischoff, his comments are becoming less factual as the weeks go on. As such, it might be time for him to change course and start finding things to praise the company for. Otherwise, his show will be incredibly predictable.
