Just when you think things can’t get any more bizarre for Braun Strowman, life throws him another curveball. Or in this case, a curveball that apparently shattered his wrist. The former WWE Universal Champion, whose post-WWE career has been a rollercoaster of fiery social media rants and, of all things, a food show, has hit a significant roadblock.
Strowman, real name Adam Scherr, took to his Instagram Stories to deliver the bad news. He shared a rather grim-looking X-ray of his broken wrist, accompanied by a furiously cursing emoji and the masterfully sarcastic caption, “YAY ME!!” You can almost feel the eye-roll through the screen. It’s the kind of update that screams, “Well, this is just my luck,” and honestly, given his recent trajectory, can you blame him?
This injury couldn’t have come at a worse time for the “Monster Among Men.” After his unceremonious exit from WWE, he’s been trying to find his footing, and it seems like every step forward is followed by two steps back and a trip over a banana peel.
Let’s be real: a broken wrist for a man whose entire gimmick is built on superhuman strength is a pretty big deal. Whatever plans he had for a glorious, vindictive return to the wrestling ring are now officially on ice. His last match was a tag team bout alongside LA Knight against Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu back in April, and since then, it’s been radio silence on the wrestling front. Now, that silence is enforced by a cast and a whole lot of physical therapy.
This isn’t just about wrestling, though. Strowman has been busy diversifying his portfolio, branching out into ventures that don’t involve flipping ambulances. He announced a new TV show, “Everything on the Menu,” which is, ironically, being produced by WWE Studios. Yes, the same company he’s been publicly blasting for “nepotism” and not caring about the fans. The show, set to premiere this fall on the USA Network, is supposed to showcase a lighter side of the behemoth.
Now, it seems he’ll be hosting with one arm tied behind his back—literally. It doesn’t help that his knees are knackered too and that showed during his last matches with WWE. Heck the man himself even admitted that he wrestled for nearly a decade despite being 15% paralyzed in one of his legs. Its clear that Braun Strowman is no longer in his prime.
Strowman’s departure from WWE in May 2025, with his contract lapsing in July, was a shock to many. According to reports, his high salary and a history of leg injuries were contributing factors. Since then, he hasn’t been shy about voicing his displeasure. He’s called his release a “stupid business practice” and has been on a one-man crusade against the company’s inner workings. It’s been a fascinating, if not slightly unhinged, spectacle to watch unfold.
So, what’s the takeaway from all this? Braun Strowman, the man who once seemed indestructible, is facing a very human problem. We’ll have to wait and see how he bounces back, but hopefully he has a speedy recovery.
