Former WWE Champion Returns to AEW During 6th Anniversary Show

Former WWE Champion Andrade has returned to AEW during their six-year anniversary show after being released from WWE last month after being them for about 18 months. However, he has quickly returned to All Elite Wrestling and has found himself in an impactful position. Kenny Omega was in the middle of the ring after his match to cut a promo thanking the crowd. Afterwards, the arena went black, and a masked man appeared in the ring, revealing himself to be Andrade El Idolo, who then attacked Omega, siding with the Don Callis Family.

Andrade would return to WWE last year following his release from AEW and would hold one WWE Championship as he would win the WWE Speed Championship. Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful is reporting that Andrade is signed to a full-time contract with All Elite Wrestling, but the details of the contract at this time have not been revealed. There are still a lot of exciting matches that we have not seen him have in AEW after being with the company for more than two years.

This is going to be intriguing as there are a lot of different directions he can go in the company. He has never held an AEW Championship while also being able to work with outside companies like CMLL and New Japan Pro Wrestling if he wants to. With the Don Callis Family continuing to expand, this is a great addition to add to the heel stable.
