Gigi Dolin Removed From NXT TV Because Of Serious Injury

We have not seen Gigi Dolin in a few weeks and, unfortunately, she is dealing with a serious injury that caused her to be pulled from NXT TV.

WWE is known to start an angle and drop it with little reasoning. For storylines that are only about a week old, no big deal. It is when fans invest weeks or months and WWE decides to change directions. And, that appeared to be what happened in NXT with Gigi Dolin and Arianna Grace.

The storyline took place every week for about a month. Basically, Grace was trying to make Gigi act proper. So, no burping at the dinner table or blowing snot rockets on the ground. Then, everything stopped. We no longer saw Gigi and Grace moved onto another program. At first, nobody knew what happened. Now, we are learning more. Fightful’ Select’s Sean Ross Sapp confirmed Gigi was spotted wearing a knee brace. The injury is said to be serious, but few details have been provided. We are not even sure if she underwent surgery or is trying rehab.

Not great timing either. She found major success in NXT as part of Toxic Attraction. Once Mandy Rose was fired and she finished feuding with Jacy Jayne, it felt live creative had nothing. Gigi worked random matches, but few programs with any substance. I figured working with Grace was an indication how things were looking better.

Between December and January, Gigi worked a few times on the main roster. In particular, she was featured on Main Event. Usually, that is an indication that WWE is ready to bring someone to the main roster. Toxic Attraction was a great stable and WWE never should have split them. So, when Gigi Dolin heals from her injury, will she return to NXT or RAW and SmackDown?
