Another big name has entered the fray for the impending women’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament as former three-time AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida officially declared during Saturday’s AEW Collision.

Shida joins a field that includes both former TBS Champions Willow Nightingale and Kris Statlander, and Mariah May.

Shida hasn’t been active in the rings of AEW since January when she picked up a win over Queen Aminata on an episode of Dynamite. Since then, she has made two Ring of Honor appearances and unsuccessfully challenged Women’s Champion Athena at April’s Supercard of Honor.

She did qualify for the 2022 tournament, but was pulled due to reported visa issues.

The winners of both the men’s and women’s Owen tournaments will earn World title shots at August’s All In at London’s Wembley Stadium. While the start date hasn’t been announced, the finals will be held in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, on Wednesday, July 10th.
