It appears another member of the "WWE Friday Night SmackDown" roster has suffered an injury.

As of late, WWE has had some good luck with the likes of JD McDonagh and Tyler Bate returning from injury. The tide may be turning in a more negative direction, as a "WWE SmackDown" star might need to undergo surgery.

PW Nexus reports that Tama Tonga will be missing some in-ring time. He's dealing with an injury. He'll be on the shelf for several months if surgery is required.

During the go-home episode of "Friday Night SmackDown" before "WrestleMania 41," LA Knight slammed a car door on Tonga's arm. It was noted in the report that the belief backstage is this was an injury angle to write Tonga off TV.

There had been some debate online over whether it was an injury angle or simply a way to prevent Tonga from interfering in Knight's match against Jacob Fatu at "WrestleMania."

Tonga plays a major role on the blue brand weekly. He's in a top faction with WWE United States Champion Fatu and Solo Sikoa. Whether or not WWE can bring Tonga Loa back soon or add a member to the stable remains to be seen. For now, it'll be Fatu and Sikoa continuing their deteriorating relationship.

This is another blow to the "WWE SmackDown" brand. It had been reported by Fightful that the fear internally is that Bianca Belair suffered a finger injury during "WrestleMania." She had a highly praised triple threat match with WWE Women's World Champion Iyo Sky and Rhea Ripley. There is no word on the severity of Belair's injury.
