WWE Legend Hulk Hogan's team denied rumors that he was on his deathbed and would not make it. Rumors started after radio host Bubba the Love Sponge shared that he had intel from a reliable source that Hogan's condition was severe.
"Allegedly, Hogan is in the hospital, and I've heard people say he might not make it," said Bubba on his radio show.
Hogan and his team quickly pushed back on these rumors, telling TMZ that his hospital visits were issues he has had for years with his spine and neck. His team added that he is already up and moving after the operation.
The six-time WWE Champion is no stranger to health issues after a wrestling career that spanned over five decades. Years of his signature leg drop move damaged his spine and neck, causing him to have many surgeries.
“I’ve had about 25 surgeries in the last decade: knee and hip replacements, shoulder and back surgeries, operations on my eyes and abdominals," Hogan wrote for Men's Health. "Apparently wrestling is all ‘fake,’ but I sure didn't get that memo!”
Hogan added that the treatments for these operations took a toll on him as well.
"Along with all of the injuries and treatment came the pain, the inflammation, and the prescription drugs," wrote Hogan. "I just got so sick of the brain fog, the trouble sleeping, feeling tired all the time, and not being myself, that about a year ago I decided to [stop taking] all of the pain meds I was on."
