Matt and Jeff Hardy—better known to wrestling fans as The Hardy Boyz—are open to the idea of one final run in WWE, as the legendary duo continues to appear in both WWE and TNA amid the companies' new working relationship.

Could the Hardy Boyz Have One More WWE Run?

The Hardys made their surprise WWE return earlier this year, appearing on an episode of NXT Roadblock where they defended the TNA World Tag Team Championships against NXT Tag Team Champions Bronco Nima and Lucien Price (Fraxiom). The appearance reignited speculation about the brothers possibly rejoining WWE on a more regular basis, especially after WWE dropped new Hardy Boyz merchandise shortly afterward. This is something they have essentially confirmed they'd like.

Speaking to Ariel Helwani, Matt and Jeff opened up about their future in wrestling, revealing they would love to have “one last hurrah” with WWE—potentially while still working with TNA.

“Maybe so. I think we do want to do the WWE Hall of Fame. I think we would like maybe one last hurrah with WWE, and that could even be possible while working with TNA too. We’ll see. It would be nice to still have the most limited schedule we could have, which could optimize how much time we could spend at home with our families and our kids. Everything is kind of up in the air right now. We both feel good, and I think we’re gonna rock and roll as long as we feel like we can do it.”

The Hardys remain two of the most iconic tag team performers in WWE history, and their return pop at WrestleMania 33 remains one of the loudest reactions in the history of wrestling. Even if just for the viral moment that would come with another return, it might be worth it for WWE, which has really taken to producing moments that motivate views on social media.

Is The Hall Of Fame In Their Future?

Interestingly, prior to Jeff Hardy’s WWE departure in 2021, the company reportedly offered him a Hall of Fame induction—a proposal Jeff turned down because he didn’t want to be honored without his brother by his side. Perhaps WWE offers both a spot at next year's WrestleMania. Both brothers have made it clear they intend to accept the WWE Hall of Fame induction one day, but are in no rush. As Jeff joked, “I was thinking 2030.”

“It just felt weird, it didn’t feel right going in without Matt,” Jeff explained. “It just didn’t feel right, just in the moment how I felt. [They said] ‘Ok. Good luck in your future endeavors.’”
