Jack Perry is entering the TNT ladder match. Perry defeated Dustin Rhodes with a running knee on AEW Dynamite to become the latest to qualify for the match that will determine a new TNT Champion at Forbidden Door on June 30 in New York. After Adam Copeland injured his leg during his barbed wire steel cage match at Double or Nothing, The Elite stripped Copeland of the title and were prepared to put it on Perry, the only person in The Elite without a championship. Qualifying matches have taken place since then, with Konosuke Takeshita and Mark Briscoe advancing. Perry was seen watching Briscoe’s win and congratulated him, but said he would soon be TNT Champion.
