Former WWE Superstar and current TNA star JDC (former WWE star Fandango) shocked last night’s TNA audience after he revealed to his The System stablemates that he was going to retire soon. Not only were his stablemates shocked, but so were his enemies.

During this past Thursday’s (November 13) episode, the System came out, and Eddie Edwards talked about their past Hardcore match at Bound for Glory, where Eddie, Alisha Edwards, Moose, Brian Myers, JDC, and Moose defeated Order 4 (Jason Hotch, John Skyler, Mustafa Ali, Special Agent 0, and Tasha Steelz. That was when JDC dropped his bombshell announcement to the group, that after TNA Genesis in January, he was done with pro-wrestling. He did tell his stablemates that he would find his replacement before his retirement.
The Rascalz (Zachary Wentz, Trey Miguel, and Myron Reed) came out after the huge announcement and were surprised by JDC leaving the ring early next year. The group then challenged the System to an eight-man tournament at Turning Point. The three will need to find a fourth member for the match, which is set to take place tonight (Friday, November 14) at Full Sail University in Orlando, Florida.
JDC has been with TNA Wrestling since 2023. He signed with the company after WWE released him on June 25, 2021.
He had been with WWE and its developmental brands (DSW, FCW) for a total of 15 years. He was part of the fourth season of NXT when it was more of a competition series. His mentor was R-Truth, and JDC ended up winning the season. His main roster debut was in October 2012. WWE fans would see him get repackaged as Fandango (before that, he was known as Johnny Curtis). His new character’s in-ring debut was huge. It was at WrestleMania 29, and he beat his opponent, who just happened to be Chris Jericho. Though the push didn’t last long. Though when he teamed with Tyler Breeze as Breezango or the Fashion Police, it was always fun to watch.
His final WWE match as Fandango was on the June 15, 2021, episode of NXT, where he and Breeze defeated former WWE stars Fabian Aichner and Marcel Barthel. He spent his last years in WWE on the NXT roster alongside Breeze. His only WWE title was the NXT Tag Team Titles. He would come back to WWE as JDC on the February 11, 2025, episode of NXT, where he had faced the then WWE NXT Heritage Cup champion Lexis King in a match. So John Cena or AJ Styles aren’t the only wrestlers to be retiring from the ring.
