John Cena knows how to get fans talking, and on Monday night, he did just that with a post on X (Twitter). Just moments before WWE Raw went on the air, the 16-time World Champion took to social media with a question that garnered a massive response.

He wrote:

“#CenavsStyles,” Cena wrote on X (formerly Twitter), adding simply: “Thoughts? #WWERaw.”

Cena Is Teasing A Match With AJ Styles

Following a loss to Brock Lesnar at Wrestlepalooza, Cena is seemingly already thinking about his next opponent. Immediately, the WWE Universe responded. Within hours, Cena’s post drew more than 3,000 replies, with fans from across the globe weighing in on the possibility of another showdown between Cena and AJ Styles. The GOAT vs. The Phenomenal One in a rematch sounded like a great idea to many. A good handful of those fans probably recall their first bout and remember it was one of Cena's greatest in-ring matches of his career. For many, the idea of Cena and Styles facing off again brought back memories of their instant-classic bouts from 2016 and 2017.

“One More Wrestling Clinic,” wrote user @Gesso_Singh, echoing the sentiments of countless fans eager to see the pair lock up once more.

Another fan tagged WWE executive Adam Pearce, suggesting the match be made official for Crown Jewel, WWE’s upcoming premium live event.

The Match Didn't Happen On Monday's Raw

Cena didn't appear on Monday's Raw, but AJ Styles did. He took issue with El Grande Americano and asked GM Adam Pearce to help him deal with the issue of how many there were. Styles and Dragon Lee wanted a tag match for next week. Pearce said he would work on it.

There was no mention of Cena or his tweet from earlier in the evening.

Is this something WWE wants to do? Cena has said several times he doesn't tell WWE who he should wrestle, and he just does what WWE books creatively for him and tries to make the best of it. The fact he's asking fans about Styles means he's either pushing for it or he's about to ask fans for their opinion on other wrestlers as well. There are only a few dates left on Cena's farewell tour and not many opportunities remain for him to pick his opponent.
