Karrion Kross is barely a few days away from his last match with the WWE. With a revelation on YouTube, Kross revealed that both he and his wife, and on-screen manager Scarlett Bordeaux, had their contracts expire on August 10. And he recently opened up on what went down with the promotion.

Kross recently sat down for an interview with Ariel Helwani. In conversation, he opened up about not receiving a contract from the WWE, which left him at a crossroads, unsure about making a decision.

“The truth of the matter is, my contract was up last week. I never actually received a contract, like an offer, until last week. I got the offer, I wanted to know how they came to the valuation of that offer… When I inquired about that, they were unwilling to provide that information and told me I had 24 hours to agree to the offer or they were rescinding it,” he said.

Kross has been with the WWE since 2020, marking his debut on the May 6 episode of NXT. Accompanied by Scarlett, he defeated Leon Ruff in a dominant squash match, marking the beginning of his main roster career.

He briefly left in 2021, before returning barely a year later in 2022. On August 10 of this year, both Kross and Scarlett’s WWE contracts expired and were not renewed.

While he wasn’t ready to give up on the WWE, he revealed that the promotion’s lack of communication ended up being a deal breaker.

“The next day we talk. I ask if they have the information. They don’t. I said I can’t make an informed decision without the information, and I’d like to keep the dialogue open. They rescinded the offer. That’s actually where we’re at,” he said.

“We Still Want To Be There”

However, both Scarlett and Kross still have their hearts in the WWE. Talking to Helwani, he revealed that they have left the door open for conversations with the promotion.

“The goal has always been to be with WWE. My wife and I still want to be with WWE. I’m at the table for conversations. I did not step out of the conversation,” he said. “We still want to be there, we still want to work it out.”
