  • Kross and Scarlett confirmed WWE departures on X.
  • WWE added them to the Alumni roster.
  • Speculations end as Kross posted looking for bookings.

The saga of Karrion Kross and Scarlett’s WWE contracts appears to be coming to an end. Over the weekend, both Kross and Scarlett provided updates that confirmed their WWE departures. Scarlett posted on X, thanking fans, while Kross announced he was looking for bookings. So it looks like this once future WWE storyline is indeed over, and now it's back to reality.

The Pair Update Their WWE Status On X

Amid speculation that this was a work, Kross confirmed that his WWE contract expired on August 10, and both he and Scarlett were later added to WWE’s Alumni roster section. It wouldn’t be the first time that a WWE Superstar was “gone” from the company, but showed up the next time on Monday Night RAW or Friday Night SmackDown. But now Kross seemed to cement his departure as real with a tweet on X that he was looking for bookings. He wrote:

“Hey… life is fighting, right? Now accepting bookings: Business@killerkross.com See you all again soon.”

While roughly two hours before Kross’ tweet, Scarlett praised the WWE locker room and said how she was going to miss her co-workers. She wrote:

My time in WWE has been an incredible ride, and I can truly say it’s been the best locker room I’ve ever been part of. These people aren’t just coworkers, they’re family. I love you all, and I’ll deeply miss seeing you every week. To the fans, you’ve never just been a crowd. You’ve been our partners in every fight and the reason we give everything for this. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. The next chapter starts now, and I’m ready to bring something unforgettable to any stage, anywhere in the world. If you want The Smokeshow on your show… let’s make it happen.Bookings & appearances: RealScarlettBordeaux@yahoo.com

The pair were first released from WWE in November 2021 after signing with the company in February 2020. Once WWE Chief Content Officer, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, took over, he rehired the duo in August 2022. As of late, WWE fans have been chanting, “We Want Kross” and demanding more television appearances. His last WWE match was a loss to Sami Zayn during the first night of SummerSlam.

What Now For The Duo?

Granted, even before Kross and Scarlett signed with WWE, they were already a popular duo working with such promotions as TNA, Lucha Underground, and Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (though WWE now owns it). While it's hard to say where Kross and Scarlett will go from here, there are plenty of options. One option is All Elite Wrestling, where a lot of former WWE stars are currently working. Some of those names include Mercedes Mone, Jon Moxley, Bobby Lashley, Toni Storm, Ricochet, Billy Gunn, Swerve Strickland, Athena, etc.

Another place that could work for the duo is New Japan Pro Wrestling. The promotion needs some fresh faces in the company since the departure of Tetsuya Naito, BUSHI, Kazuchika Okada, and EVIL. Whatever they end up doing, good luck to them.
