Two AEW stars have been announced for future CMLL events at Arena Mexico, both making their promotional debuts.
CMLL posted a video to its digital media channels on Wednesday night announcing AEW International Champion and NJPW NEVER Openweight Champion Konosuke Takeshita for a future appearance at an Arena Mexico show. CMLL runs every Friday night in the legendary building. No date was set for Takeshita’s debut appearance.

Taya Valkyrie is also set to make her CMLL debut, with a date and opponent announced. In a separate video, Valkyrie announced that she will make her CMLL debut on the Friday, March 7 show against Lady Frost in a World Women’s Tag Team title qualifying match. Valkyrie is a former longtime AAA regular.
Valkyrie will be substituting for Red Velvet in the contest after Velvet announced that she is unable to compete due to injury.

Takeshita defending the International Championship against Orange Cassidy is also set for the February 26 AEW Dynamite. The winner of that bout will defend the title against Kenny Omega at the AEW Revolution pay-per-view on March 9.
