Future wedding bells are ringing for WWE announcer Lilian Garcia. The longtime WWE personality shared on Instagram Live on Monday, November 3, that she’s getting married. Garcia had first told fans earlier this year that she had been dating someone after being single for several years.
Garcia revealed the happy news, while adding that she and her current partner don’t have a timeframe yet for when and where the wedding will be. Garcia also revealed that her now fiancé was a former wrestler, though she didn’t share a name. She said:
As you guys know, I was single for almost four years, and I let you guys know earlier this year that I was dating somebody, and, it’s gone to another level. I’m engaged! What? Yes! I’m engaged. Super happy about it. I’m with someone who totally gets the business because he actually was a wrestler. Okay, so you guys are going to be like, ‘Who is this?’ We’ll get to that.” (h/t: itrwrestling)
As Garcia stated, she was single for almost four years before meeting this new man. Her relationship before was with her second husband, Christopher Jozeph. They were married from September 2009 until Garcia filed for divorce in April 2022.
As noted, Garcia signed a new contract with WWE back in October. She will be with WWE for another two years. Garcia returned to WWE on October 21, 2024, after Samantha Irvin left WWE. Her current role is an announcer for special events. She recently worked on November 1 for Saturday Night’s Main Event in Salt Lake City, Utah. During the show, CM Punk defeated Jey Uso to become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Also, Jade Cargill captured gold after defeating then-WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton.
During the same Instagram Live, Lilian also told her fans she hopes she works during John Cena’s final WWE match. His last match is, of course, on December 13, and it will be a Saturday Night’s Main Event special, so streaming only on Peacock. His final opponent will be the winner of the Last Time Is Now Tournament. Cena announced the tournament last Saturday at SNME. So, since Lilian Garcia works during special events, this one doesn’t get any more special than this, so she should get the chance to be there announcing. Anyway, happy engagement to the couple!
