Lilian Garcia appeared on WWE Raw. The longtime WWE announcer appeared as a surprise during Monday’s show in Greenville, South Carolina with current Raw ring announcer Samantha Irvin introducing Garcia and asking her if she would like to announce the next match. She thanked Irvin, saying she’s been doing an incredible job before introducing Kofi Kingston to the ring for his King of the Ring quarterfinal match against Gunther. Garcia joined WWE in 1999, taking over for Howard Finkel as the ring announcer for Raw, and would eventually become the brand’s lead ring announcer. She retired in 2009 after ten years, but made her return in 2011, this time becoming the announcer for the SmackDown brand. She continued in that role until leaving WWE again in 2016. In recent years, Garcia has reappeared to ring announce the finals of the Mae Young Classic in 2017 and also ring announced at WWE Evolution, the first-ever women-only WWE pay-per-view event the following year.
